Top 10 Best Bagless Vacuum Cleaners Reviews 2020
Now you know much more about the products I intend to talk about then you knew some minutes ago. You know their type, weight, how much time the brand supports them through a warranty and most importantly you know how much popularity they have among the users that already bought them.
This being said, you are now ready to find out the full details about each one of them.
1. Severin Bagless Vacuum Cleaner
There are so many great bagless vacuum cleaners on the market, therefore my job to pick the very best was not an easy one. However, in the end, I decided to choose as my best overall the Severin Bagless Vacuum Cleaner.
First of all, it has a very powerful suction due to its Multi-Cyclone technology. This means that it works great on both carpets and hard floors.
It is also very quiet and it is packed with a HEPA filtering system that will capture more than 99% of the particles from the house including pollen and other allergens.
You can empty the dustbin by simply pressing a button. You won't need to touch any debris while doing this.
- Great value for money;
- HEPA filters;
- Easy to use;
- Very silent.
- It doesn’t have the best wheels.
I am more of a canister vacuum cleaner type of person and I was very impressed with the Severin Bagless Vacuum Cleaner's capabilities. Even though it is not a very popular brand, I still recommend you to give it a chance.
I love that its suction and that it comes with many tools such as an XL parquet nozzle or a 35'' long telescopic tube.
You can check the short presentation that I found if you want a better view of the product.
The next one on my list of bagless vacuum cleaner comes from Shark at it is their NV360 upright model.
It has HEPA filters that will trap more than 99% of the dust and allergens from your house. It has a very big unit for the debris retention, so you won't have to clean it after each vacuuming.
Even is it is an upright vacuum cleaner model, you can simply press a button, lift its canister and clean the hard to reach areas of your house.
Regardless of its size, the dust cup's capacity is of 12 dry quarts, it can easily be maneuvered ensuring a proficient cleaning.
- It has HEPA filters;
- Very good suction;
- It can be used for hard to reach areas.
- It is a little heavy.
I think that even if you consider its price a little expensive, you should still consider investing it. It is a good value for money.
The only thing that I am not very pleased about it is its portability. I find it hard to carry down the stairs and up again, but other than that it is a very good bagless vacuum cleaner.
You can check the presentation below to see a real user's experience:
3. Eureka NEN110A
As you can imagine, I had to put a bagless vacuum cleaner on the list that even if it's cheap it also offers great results. The one that I have chosen to be my best budget bagless vacuum cleaner the Eureka NEN110A model.
First of all, this canister vacuum cleaner can be used on multiple surfaces. On its handle, you can see an airflow control that is integrated there. With its help, you can choose one of the 3 settings, based on the surface you want to clean: hard floors, carpets or upholstery.
It is a light model, making it very easy to maneuver and carry around the house. Also, it will provide a good reach due to its telescoping wand.
It has a generous dust container that doesn't require you to buy any filters or bags. You just take its filter out, wash it, let it dry and reuse it.
- Very good price;
- No maintenance costs;
- Very lightweight.
- Not the best results on rugs.
I strongly believe that this specific model is perfect for people who don't want to pay extra for a vacuum cleaner or its maintenance. Of course, it doesn't offer the absolute best results, especially not on carpets, but it is a very good value for money.
I've handpicked you a video presentation with the Eureka NEN110A so you can understand more of its features. Check it out below:
4. Eureka NEU202
(Best for Pet Hair)
This next one, the Eureka NEU202, I've picked for multiple reasons, but mostly for its capacity to vacuum pet hair.
However, this is not its sole plus. It has an amazing hose reach, 8 feet, that you will probably find very handy when using it.
Other aspects worth mentioning are its wide 12.6" cleaning path that will help you do a very fast cleaning and also its capacity to choose from 5 floors types that will ensure a good cleaning regardless of the surface.
Even though it is an upright model, and they tend to be heavier, the Eureka NEU202 is actually very lightweight and also easy to lift up.
It also has a decently big dust capacity cup - 2.1 liters.
- Very good for pet hair;
- Excellent hose reach;
- No extra costs;
- It can be used on multiple surfaces.
- Its glide could be better.
I truly think that this vacuum cleaner is perfect for people with pets that also need a good reach and don't want to invest in other accessories such as filters and bags.
However, you should not expect premium results. This is a regular bagless device, but one that will make your life easier.
5. Orfeld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
As you can imagine there are hundreds if not thousands of 2-in-1 bagless vacuum cleaners, therefore I had a very hard time in finding the best one to add to this article.
After testing multiple models, I decided to add a model from Orfeld and I will tell you why I did it.
First of all, it has a very handy and ergonomic design that makes it very easy to maneuver it. Also, it comes with many accessories that will be very useful for cleaning the entire house.
This model has a very powerful motor and also a special brush that will allow you to clean also carpets. However, even though it has great suction, don't expect this stick vacuum cleaner to replace your model for deeper cleaning.
Orfeld has included a multi-layer filtration system that is very good at keeping away allergens and pollutants.
However, probably the most interesting fact about this model is that if you are not happy with this model, you can get a total refund after 3 months.
- Very good warranty and refund policy;
- Very easy to use;
- Powerful suction for a stick vacuum cleaner.
- It’s charging method is not very handy.
I must confess that I had an extremely difficult job in finding a bad thing to say about this vacuum cleaner. I look at it as a dream come true when it comes to 2-in1 vacuum cleaners.
It would have been enough to be a powerful model, but with its very good customer service and refund policy, this is very close to perfection.
6. Bissell Multi-Cyclonic 1547
(Best for Hardwood)
I wasn't about to add a model for hardwood floors, but after testing the 1547 model from Bissell, I instantly knew that you should hear about it.
It has a very good suction due to its Multi-Cyclonic Technology. Also, it gives a very good reach because it has an 18 feet cord and a 7 inches hose.
What makes it really special is that has a turbine foot for hard floors that removes all dirt but is very gentle with the surfaces at the same time.
However, even though it is a bagless vacuum cleaner meant for hardwood floors, it doesn't have a problem to vacuum carpets as well.
To ensure a quicker clean, it is a good width for the cleaning path - 11 inches.
- Extremely efficient for hardwood floors;
- Very lightweight;
- Very easy to use.
- It is not cheap.
Even though carpets are harder to clean, hardwood floors are way more sensitive and can easily be scratched. Therefore if you have beautiful wooden floors it would be a shame not to have a vacuum cleaner made especially for this purpose.
However, if your house is mostly covered in carpets, then I don't think that investing in this vacuum cleaner is the right thing for you.
To clean the filters in the correct way, check out the next video and learn the technique straight from Bissell:
7. iRobot Roomba 960
I love that I live in a world when robots that clean your house are actually real and don't come at absolutely impossible prices. So, since I am presenting all kinds of bagless vacuum cleaners, why not also take a look into a Roomba model.
If you will compare the 960 model with older products from the 600 series, you will discover that it comes with 5 times more suction power. This means that it will do a better job picking the dirt that it finds in its way.
The Roomba 960 is capable of drawing smart maps and clean a floor of your house with ease. All this is possible because it has something called iAdapt 2.0 technology that will allow the robot to make thousands of precise computations per millisecond.
For the best cleaning, it also comes with multiple cleaning stages - 3. This will let the Roomba 960 to take any pet hair or dust on the floor.
Since it is an advanced model, it is not suited only for hardwood floors, but can also do your everyday cleaning on carpets.
- Can be controlled with Google Assistant and Alexa;
- Very powerful filters;
- Goes well with carpets.
- It is expensive.
I really love robots, especially iRobot ones. Of course, you can find more premium Roombas than this one, but I think that the Roomba 960 is the best value for money you can find.
I love how easy it is to control, that it can connect to your WIFI and last but not least, that it is also suited for cleaning carpets and pet hair.
Check out the next video for the 900 series and understand more of what this Roomba can do.
8. Hoover FH52000
(Best for Carpets)
The next one on this list got its place along with the best bagless vacuum cleaners due to its great capacity for cleaning carpets. I am talking about the FH52000 model from Hoover.
This model is so smooth in doing its job that you will wonder how did you survive without it so long.
All you have to do is to push the device forward and then pull it back to you. One movement will wash your carpet and the other one will dry it. Yes, it is that simple.
Also, to ensure that everything is perfect, the FH52000 model comes with an auto-mic feature that will mix and spread the liquid. This way you can be sure the proportions are done right.
The last thing I want to say about it is that due to its FlexForce PowerBrushes, this bagless vacuum cleaner will also remove any deep filth from your carpets and not only the one from the surface.
- Great for carpets;
- Easy to use.
- It doesn’t have the best glide.
I don't know what else I can say about this model other than the fact that everybody should have one at home. It makes cleaning the carpets a child's game.
To convince yourself that I am not lying, check the next video:
9. BISSELL 2306A
(Best Wet Vacuum Cleaner)
Speaking of washing carpets, let's look into another wet vacuum cleaner that I think it has won its right to be here - the 2306A model from Bissel.
This one, not only will do intense wet vacuuming, but it will also wash your floors. Due to its superior technology, you will see that you won't encounter too many situations of hair wrap. The responsible for this is the Tangle-Free Brush Roll that will take any filth and debris it will stumble upon and send it into the Dirty Water Tank.
You will say that you don't see how all this process will reduce the hair wrap situations and you would be right. I left the best part at the end. This model also has a feature called the Pet Hair
Strainer that will separate the debris from the dirty water.
- You can use cleaning formulas;
- Works multiple surfaces.
- It is not cheap;
- Not the best for long hair.
I won't repeat myself, because as you can imagine, I think that everything presented in the description is great.
I will say, however, something that was not mentioned yet. I absolutely love its Two-Tank Technology that separates the clean water from the dirty ones, therefore you know that you always use the fresh one to clean your house.
However, just as everything with a premium feature, it doesn't come cheap, but if you can afford it, you won't regret it.
Below you will find a presentation that will show you some of its features:
10. Miele Blizzard CX1
There are very few brands that can compete with what Miele is offering. This is why after testing a great number of bagless vacuum cleaners, I've decided that the model that performs at its very best and comes with premium features is the Miele Blizzard CX1.
First of all, it has a very powerful Vortex Motor (1200W, up to 62+ mph). Actually, the aerodynamic airflow along with the floorhead that has a special design is the reason for such performance.
Its suction power is controllable and can be adjusted according to the surface you are cleaning.
Another plus of the Miele Blizzard CX1 is given by its filtration system. Not only that it has HEPA filters that will keep away more than 99 percent of the allergens, but also has a self-cleaning function called ComfortClean.
- Amazing results;
- Great filters;
- Very good for pet owners;
- It comes with multiple accessories.
- It is expensive.
I don't think that there is anything bad to say about this model. I love everything that it does and represents.
From the simple and elegant design to its premium results, the Miele Blizzard CX1 bagless vacuum cleaner has it all, of course, at a premium price.

Everything you should know about the Bagless Vacuum Cleaners
You can still call bagless vacuums new compared to the other ones and are growing their popularity on a daily basis. This is possible because usually, people find them easier to use, to clean and to maintain.
Also, a bagless vacuum cleaner will save you from the issue of forgetting to buy bags and realizing that you are lacking them when you need them the most.
They come in different forms and sizes, but mostly they have the same pluses and minuses that make people either love them or hate them. So let's understand what are these reasons.
Bagless Vacuum Cleaners Advantages
I will start with the advantages these models no doubt have
1. They are cheaper
I am not talking here about the initial cost, but the overall one. When you buy a bagless model, you know that you won't have to invest any more to maintain it.
So, the cost of constantly buying bags for the vacuum cleaner is totally removed. This means that you will save lots of additional money each year.
2. You see when the vacuum cleaner needs to be emptied
The bagless vacuum cleaners come with clear containers that allow you to see when your device has to be emptied.
Also, you can see if it actually sucking the dirt from the floor or not. Since the dirt champer is transparent you will notice if the dirt is gathering there or not.
Just as all types of vacuum cleaner, when the dirt container is getting full, the vacuum cleaner tends to lose its suction. So, if you can constantly see the level of dirt piled up, you can easily avoid these situations.
3. Environmentally friendly
If you compare a bagless vacuum cleaner to a bagged one, it is clear that the bagless vacuum cleaner will win in terms of being more eco-friendly.
The bagged vacs use multiple bags during their lives, bags that are not so good for the environment.
But a bagless model won't create this kind of problem. You can simply empty the dust cup into a compost bin (if you have access to one).
Bagless Vacuum Cleaners Disadvantages
As you can imagine, it is not all perfect when it comes to bagless vacuum cleaners. So let's see what are the minuses that usually make people tend to choose the bagged ones.
1. More allergens exposure
When you empty the dirt container from a bagless vacuum cleaner, you usually get more exposed to allergens and dust that you would if you cleaning a bagged model. This is possible because the dirt doesn’t go to a bag that is air-tight, but rather, in an air-tight chamber.
So, because the disposal manner isn’t just lifting a bag and throw it away, it is likely for some of the allergens to be propelled back into the air while discharging your bagless vacuum.
2. Less suction
It is known that bagless models tend to have less suction power than the bagged ones. So people that need a vacuum cleaner for heavy-duty purposes, will more likely choose an old-fashion vacuum cleaner that has a dust bag and more suction.
Buying Guide - How to Pick the Best Bagless Vacuum Cleaner
When you buy a vacuum cleaner you have to think of many things so you will be sure that you've selected the perfect one for you and your needs. Let's see what are the most important factors that you should take into consideration before taking any decision.
There are so many types of vacuum cleaners now and they all come also as bagless models. So before anything else think about your expectations regarding this acquisition and then choose a canister model, an upright one or go with a lighter version such as stick vacuum cleaners or handheld models.
The suction power is probably the most important factor, so be sure that you pay the proper attention to it. Your vac has to be powerful and capable to pick up all the dust and dirt from the floors.
As you can imagine, vacuum cleaners differ from one model to the other and so is their suction power. So, you will find models that can pick up even the finest particle from your floor while others won't have the power to clean your pet's hair.
Think about what your needs are and pick the one that has the exact power that you need.
Of course that in the end, everything goes down to price. So, think of the amount you are willing to spend. With a number in mind, you can look at the features and decide what you absolutely need and what are the ones you can live without.
This way you will be able to pick a vacuum cleaner that is in your budget and also has everything you need. Don't go and pay extra for features that you will never use, especially if you are tight on money.
Everybody has a favorite brand that keeps using. Some of us do it for commodity and some truly think that there is no better one on the market.
So if you have a favorite brand check out the bagless models that specific brand has to offer and pick one from their portfolio.
If you don't have a special brand in mind, you should pick one of the popular brands that are known to offer great bagless vacuum cleaners such as Shark or Eureka.
Some vacuum cleaners are doing better on carpets, some on hard floors and some are good regardless of the floor type.
Think about what surfaces you have in your house and choose the one that will offer the best results in your case.
Each model of vacuum cleaner comes with some attachments. Of course, there are models that come with more than others.
However, the most popular ones in terms of accessories are dusting brushes, crevice tools, upholstery tools, stair attachments, accessories for cleaning cars or pet hair and so on.
They are not a must have but can make your life easier. So, if you find a bagless vacuum cleaner that has multiple useful attachments and comes at a price that you can afford, you should not think twice before buying it.
A significant benefit of a bagless vacuum cleaner is the ease of emptying the vacuum rather than having to lift and reinsert a bag. This being said, a good bagless vacuum cleaner should not spill the trash when you take out the dirt cup. Also, it should have easy access to empty the dust cup into a trash bin. Some models even offer the possibility of doing this process with one hand.
Probably this is the least of your worries when you think of buying a vacuum cleaner. However, if you live in a small flat with not so thick walls or have a small baby that needs to sleep while you clean the house, you should not ignore this factor.
So, before buying a model also look into this aspect.
The Length of the Power Cord
This usually is not such a deal-breaker factor, but if you have a long power cord you will be able to save time and use only one outlet power source for a bigger area.
Also, there are people that prefer shorter power cords because they hate stumbling on it while cleaning. So, in the end, is just a matter of preference.
How to Clean a Bagless Vacuum Cleaner
Even though bagless vacuum cleaners don't include extra costs after buying them such as the bagged ones, you still need to do some maintenance when it comes to them.
Each model has its own routine that it needs to be taken care of and you should read about it in the instruction manual, but here is some general advice that you should take into consideration regarding how to clean your vacuum cleaner.
The first thing that you need to do is to remove the canister and to empty its content into the trash.
After this is done, you should take the canister apart, lift what stubborn dirt particles are still there and then rinse it in warm water.
Now it is time to check the filters as well. Most of the filters are washable, but you should check to be sure. If they indeed allow you to wash them, do it.
Rinse them with warm water until the water starts to run clean. Using your hands, squeeze the excess of water and then let it dry. I recommend you don't use the filter on the same day after you wash it just to be sure it is completely dried.
If you finish with the filter, it is time to check if there aren't any blockages inside the hose.
With a seam ripper start to remove any hair fibers and strings from your roller brush. If you don't have a seam ripper, just go and use a scissor.
As you can see, it is not such a hard thing to do and the more you take care of your vacuum cleaner, the better it will work and the longer it will live.
I usually clean my vacuum cleaner at least once each month, but I strongly recommend you not to let two months to pass without a full cleaning.
